Beyond Borders International Universities Football Tournament 2011
23rd July - 30th July, 2011 at SOAS

CARA and Para Siempre FC are pleased to announce their participation
in the University of London & SOAS Beyond Borders  International Universities
Football Tournament in London. The event will aim to use the power of sport
and the shared medium of football to connect global students and local
communities.

CARA and Para Siempre will host an evening workshop to engage the young participants on issues surrounding academic freedom. All players from each
University will be divided into 3 groups to focus on how Universities and Institutions foster academic freedom, student involvement in academic freedom and looking
how football may encourage academic freedom. The groups will then present their findings to the other participants in a final evening session.

The workshop intends to produce a collaborative report on the outcomes of the issues discussed at the workshop to be published by CARA.
