Please find a list below of organisations who might be able to provide financial support for educational purposes to Zimbabweans in the country or in the diaspora.
Funding for Zimbabwean nationals studying or wishing to study in the UK or South Africa:

The Beit Trust: The Beit Trust offers annually a small number of scholarships abroad for postgraduate studies or research to graduates who are domiciled in Malawi, Zambia or Zimbabwe. Scholarships are taken up at a university in the United Kingdom, Ireland or South Africa, for study in a subject of the individual’s choice relevant to the needs of the beneficial area. In addition, awards for a one-year taught Masters Degree are offered at the University of Leeds, known as the Beit-Leeds Scholarship (BL); at the University of Reading, known as the Beit-Reading Scholarship (BRG); and at Rhodes University, known as the Beit-Rhodes Scholarship (BRU).
- Phoenix Fund for Zimbabwe: Phoenix Zimbabwe provides a source of financial assistance for Zimbabwean exiles in the UK who wish to pursue courses of professional development or vocational training that will equip them to participate in the rebuilding the economy and institutions of Zimbabwe when circumstances allow them to return home. Phoenix Zimbabwe aims to make grants with minimum delay, particularly for some of the smaller but urgent incidental expenses associated with study, such as exam and qualification conversion fees, book funds and transport.
- Family Action and Horizon Educational Grants: Family Action has a range of small educational grants available for families and individuals with low incomes, who are either British nationals by birth or asylum seekers, refugees or those with leave to remain, to support them with studying for higher education courses that will improve their employment prospects. Some of these grants are specifically aimed at lone parents in education or training.

Africa Educational Trust: The Africa Educational Trust provides small emergency grants for African students studying in the UK and are experiencing unexpected financial difficulties during the final months of their course. The aim of the grants is to enable them to finish their course and return to their home country.
- University of Edinburgh Southern African Scholarships: The University of Edinburgh offers two scholarships for postgraduate study in any subject offered by the University to students from Southern African countries per year. One of the scholarships is available for a one year Master’s degree programme and the other scholarship for a three year PhD degree programme. The scholarship covers the overseas rate of tuition fee and University accommodation for the duration of the postgraduate degree programme.
- University of Bath – Steve Huckvale Scholarships: The University of Bath provides a small number of scholarships worth £5000 for international students born in an African country to study a postgraduate taught programme in the field of Engineering or Management.
- Loughborough University Graduate School Development Trust Africa Scholarships: The University of Loughborough offers a number of full-fee scholarships for taught postgraduate students who are currently domiciled in an African country and hold a study offer. Further requirement: Commitment to return to their home country on completion of postgraduate programme and evidence of the ability and commitment to making a significant contribution to their home country on their return.
- Clutton-Brock Scholarship For Zimbabwe: The object of this scholarship scheme is to establish scholarships at postgraduate level in the University of Cambridge for the benefit of students from Zimbabwe, either for one-year taught graduate courses or three-year research courses.
- The Rhodes Scholarship 2012 for Zimbabwe: Each year, there are two scholarships available in Zimbabwe to enable outstanding students - chosen on the basis of exceptional intellect, character, leadership, and commitment to service - to study at the University of Oxford.
- UCL- AET Undergraduate International Outreach Bursaries: University College London (UCL) and the Africa Educational Trust (AET) have agreed to collaborate in a scheme to enable students from Africa, who are financially unable to study in the UK, to pursue full-time undergraduate studies at UCL. Two full bursaries are awarded each year on the basis of financial hardship and academic merit.
- The Wadsworth African Fellowships: Provides support for African students undertaking study leading to a Ph.D. at a South African university that can provide them with international-level training in anthropology (including biological anthropology and archeology).
- Overseas Research Student Award Scheme (ORSAS): ORSAS awards provide funding to pay the difference between the international student tuition fees and the home/EU student tuition fees charged by the academic institution that the student attends in the UK.
- The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU): The ACU supports a great number of individuals from member states (including Zimbabwe) with scholarships to take up studies or fellowships in other Commonwealth countries. For example through renowned award schemes such as the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan and the Marshall Scholarships, university staff and students from the Commonwealth are able to study in the UK.

Canon Collins Trust: Canon Collins Trust provides postgraduate scholarships and other support for southern Africa’s future leaders. We believe this is empowering for the individuals and emancipatory for their societies. Over the past 30 years the Trust has supported over 3,000 inspirational individuals who are now making their contributions through governments, NGOs, business and universities. - Council for the Development of Social Science Research (CODESRIA): Small grants for social science scholars in African countries, to support writing dissertations and theses, as well as Advanced Research Fellowships to support social research projects.
- Aga Khan International Scholarships: The Aga Khan Foundation each year provides a limited number of scholarships for postgraduate studies to outstanding students from African countries who have no other means of financing their studies.

- The Crosby Scholarship Fund for Theological Education in Zimbabwe: The Crosby Scholarship Fund for Theological Education in Zimbabwe aims to provide financial support for students studying for the ministry, either at the United Theological College in Zimbabwe or at other institutions of theological education in Africa.
Funding and assistance for primary and secondary education in Zimbabwe:

Zimbabwe Educational Trust (ZET): UK based charity that provides educational funding and legal representation for orphans and underprivileged Zimbabwean children.
- USAID Africa Education Initiative: Scholarships for African girls at primary and secondary level; provision of textbooks and learning materials; teacher training initiatives.
- CAMFED International: Financial support and other assistance to enable African children to receive primary and secondary education, and assistance for young women who are interesting in undertaking higher education.
